Default Zune vs. Electric Guitar

So, here's the situation, in school I get money for my grades. If I get straight As, I get $60, if I can keep it up all year, I get a $200 bonus on top of the $60 I'd normally get for the last report card.($260)

I know the school year's still a couple months away, but I just want to get your opinion on what I should get because As are easy to get, right now I've got all As and Bs, typically I've got a couple real low grades about this time, than I work hard to get them up to As, so this time I'm ahead of the game, so I bet I can keep it up till the end of the year.

My question to you guys is do you think I should get a good electric guitar and amp, or Zune? They're both something that I really want, so it's hard to decide. I think what might be a workable solution is that I could TRY to save my money from this next report card(Even though I SUCK at saving money) and than buy the Zune and try to find a guitar for about $60+ whatever I can manage to save out of my allowance. But that would require a lot of effort...

So if you were in my shoes, which would you get, the Zune or the guitar?

I would go for an mp3 player (iPod over Zune for me, but to each his own lol).

A factor I would consider though is, do you know how to play the guitar good. If you do I'd go with the guitar, but if you don't I'd go with the Zune and get a cheap acoustic guitar to practice on before you go electric.

He means the end of our school year. In the U.S. the school year for most public schools and colleges is from late August to May or June.

well i love my zune but ima tell you it takes an act of congress to get it installed if your pc is not 100% up-to-date. i say go with an ipod classic or nano for the easy installation, but get an itunes alternative (poddox, sharepod, etc.) because itunes locks your ipod to one library.

well you could get a beginner guitar and amp for 260. at least with that, over the zune, you can learn a new talent if you stick with it.

i play guitar, and trust me, if you stick with it, you'll be glad you did. i say go for the guitar.
