Originally this was a poll.
Tim Tebow has won the Heisman Trophy. Your thoughts? I personally think Tim Tebow is going to win. But I'd like to see Run DMc or Colt Brennan. I think Colt Brennan is the best QUARTERBACK in college football right now. People say McFadden won't win because he had a down year. But that's retarded, because he had a better year then he did last year and played in 2 fewer games. The man is the best overrall player in the nation. He can clearly do it all, run, catch AND pass. Here's a fun fact. Darren McFadden has a better QB Rating then Colt Brennan, Tim Tebow, and Chase Daniels... Also I believe Michael Crabtree, the best WR in college football should have been invited. He clearly dominated everybody this year. There was only 1 game where he didn't eclipse 100 yards receiving but that game he had 10 catches. He can do it all, run posts, run after the catch, ins, outs, deep balls corners, you name it. 125 catches? Are you kidding? 21 TDs? 1800 yards receiving? I firmly believe he can never win the Heisman, 1 he probably won't be AS good next year, but will definitely be amazing, and 2 he is a WR and they'll never win. Ok another name that should be here is Kevin Smith. A RB out of UCF. Basically he isn't really known so that's why which is a shame as he is a fantastic RB. He rushed for a FBs record 415 times. He almost had 2500 yards rushing and had 30 total TDs(29 rushing). Only 2 games where he didn't rush for 150 yards. The kid is fantastic and won't get the recognition because of the college he goes to. Last edited by Domino6O6; 12-09-2007 at 12:58 AM. |

I think they gave it to the right guy. He had like over 50 TDs this year. He had more rushing yards than Reggie Bush had when he won it, and more passing yards than Leinart when he won it. And, he's only a sophomore. I think he had one of the all time great seasons.
I think Darren McFadden was also definitely up there, I only saw him play once, I can't remember who they played against, I think it was LSU, it was the triple overtime game, but man. He really tore it up on the ground and in the air. Still, Tebow took games over imo and he deserved it. I graduated from the University of Colorado, and Colt Brennan was originally a Buff his freshman year, but he transfered after the rape scandals. That really sucks because I think he would have been great for our team, but oh well. Anyway, those are some of my thoughts on what I thought were the 3 best players this year. |

I think you mean he had more rushing TDs then Bush. Not yards. Anyhow 18 of his 22 rushing TDs where from inside the 10-yard line if you take that into account. I'm not saying he shouldn't have won. He is a great player and I agree he did have one of the best seasons people have seen since Barry Sanders did what he did. I just wanted to make an argument for people that deserved to get invited but didn't.
