Creating the magic memory stick

Use your PSP to format your memory card. Connect your psp to PC via USB.
Download my pandora pack linked above. Use winrar or similar program to extract the contents of the RAR folder to your hard drive.
Copy the contents of the folder "Copy contents to root" to the root of your memory card.
Click "yes to all" when asked to overwrite files.
You now have all files needed to create the magic memory stick and jig kick battery, all files are in the correct place.
Go to the GAME Menu of your PSP, select the Memory Stick and press X, then select "Despertar del Cementerio v5" and press X. It will ask you to press the X button to begin the installation.
If you would like to free some space in the memory stick, you can safely delete the files 150.PBP and 340.PBP off the root of the memory stick as they will not be needed anymore, however make sure the file 390.PBP remains in there. Once finished, disable the USB Mode safely.
You have successfully created your Magic Memory Stick. Now you still need a jigkick battery in order to run it.

HI, newbie here...

I have a fat PSP with 3.52 official SONY firmware and I want to get it to a custom fw. I searched other sites and I read that there aren't any downgraders for 3.51 or above and that the only way I can get my PSP to a custom firmware is finding someone with a Pandora Battery and that has already a custom fw installed so that he can "transfer" the custom fw to me without any downgrading, just removing my battery and my memory stick, instert his and installing the custom firmware.

Is that right? Are there any risks?

This is completely correct. Its called a pandora battery and the instructions to do this are at the start of this thread.

You can buy pre-made ones or make one yourself (requires taking battery apart) or find a friendd who can do it.
