Default i have not tried yet

I was too busy these days, keep you updated as soon as I am settled. Thank you very much for your time. Please do not give up on my ignorance and stupidity. Keep up the good work, High Roller and the rest of the gang.

Default Reply to High Roller

Thank you for your time and help.Ok as you had said, I will inform everytthing I have.I had bought a Pandora battery. From the instruction you had given to me, I had dowloaded the Pandora+Universal Downgrader Easy Installer and save in the desktop.I connected my PSP unit without any battery, only the AC adaptor, it has power, connected it to USB, following the steps 1 - 4, in step 2 the memory stick will automatically modified, I did not succeed in this step, the Y prompt did not come up. How many hours will it take to modify the memory stick? I am using a 2 GB memory stick. This means I did not succeed to convert the memory stick into MAGIC, that is why I cannot proceed to the other procedures. I am not coming up to the custum firmware. I cannot really understand if where did I go wrong. In Tergazzi's guide, my problem there is I cannot download the magic installer, megaupload. The guide was a little bit detailed. Can you help me to make your guide that way? By giving me a more detailed steps, from the beginning. Sorry for asking too much.

Regards,
Lisa

It only takes 2 minutes to modify the memory stick.
The memory stick needs to be formatted before it is modified though. See below
If you have got a Pandora Battery, you do not need to follow Tergazzis guide anymore. forget about Tergazzis guide
Follow Kevs Guide: http://www.psp-forum.com/psp-homebre...-tutorial.html

but because of you problems, do the formatting thing first, below

Formatting your Memory Stick
You need to do this to make sure you can make the Memory stick 'magic.

You will need a program called "mspformat" download this here: Download save the file to your "Desktop"

once you have download it, open the rar archive.

You will find a folder called "mspformat" - double click that and then you will find a file called "mspformat.exe" - This is what we want! Drag this file -mspformat.exe to your "desktop" and we can begin.

Now
To format the memory stick, you may have to use something called the "command prompt" ... This can be found on your start menu.

Click "Start"> then "Programs"> then "Accessories" > then "Command Prompt"... A black rectangular box should pop up with a white flashing cursor. Here is what it looks like on my computer. Yours should be similar
Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\High Roller>_
Now type with out the quotes "cd desktop" and it should look like this:

Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\High Roller>cd desktop

C:\Documents and Settings\High Roller\Desktop>_
OK. Now, find out what drive letter your PSP is... It will be either E:, F: or G:. Find out which letter the PSP is and remember it!

Lets say this letter is "F"
At the command prompt, type "mspformat f" without the quotes

it should look like this

Quote:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\High Roller>cd desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\High Roller\Desktop>mspformat f
You are about to format the drive f.
All data will be lost. Do you want to continue? [Y]_
Type "Y" and the memory stick will be formatted.

Now follow the pandora creator installer from the start, ignore the steps to run the software and format the memory stick and just copy the memory stick files across to the memory stick

Once you have done this, take out the AC adaptor, and place in the pandora battery.

The update will (for the love of god PLEEEEEZZZ) work and you will have Custom firmware.

If this process does work you seriously owe us one!!!

You get a pandora battery if you don't have one.

Make one. It's very easy if you follow the instructions carefully.
