doubt it, even if you could it is highly illegal to piggy back on someones WiFi connection. There was a guy in England somewhere who found an unencrypted private Wifi signal and sat in his car downloading everything he could. The owner noticed the increase in traffic and the guy was caught, taken to court, fined and jailed I believe.

I find it very difficult to believe he was jailed unless the stuff he was downloading was highly illegal. If you know what I mean.

But yes, piggybacking isn't something you should do but anyone who has a wireless router activated without WEP encryption at the least deserves their connection to be hijacked.

but can it be done using psp? I know you can get some sort of sniffer with laptops to hack into the hotspot in not much time at all.

I want to know because I've found a hotspot that is in the middle of pure nowhere and want to use it!

No it can't to my knowledge. You can do a search for the router name but unless it is being transmitted (which it shouldn't be unless the owner is an idiot), you won't even find that, never mind bypassing the WEP. The PSP is not set up to be able to do this type of underhand thing.

Perhaps if someone ports Kismet for the PSP, but as of now, no (and probably never). :P
