Default help, mph loader problem

my son tried to load spongebob umd game onto his 1.5 machine using the mph2.6loader, this has been working fine until now,,,
i think he may have extracted the files from the umd disc by mistake and now NO umd disc will load... it just switches itself off after 5 seconds of trying to load...
any ideas .. anyone... :?:

I'd love to help but I'm still not entirely sure what exactly is going on.

Where did he extract the files to?
What does that have to do with anything?
Do you have any UMDs that are known to play on 1.5 that you can test with?

Provide more information, and you might get more responses.

hi again.. i will try again...
ive only got umd game discs that require upgrade from 1.5

whilst using Xtreme Loader 2.6 to boot up the umd game the screen comes up saying press x to run umd
or
press 0 to extrct system files from umd first time

my son said he pressed 0 by mistake and now when we try to load a umd game the same screen comes up as above but it wont recognise that you press x (or any other button for that matter) and then after around 5 seconds the psp switches itself off)
hope ive written it more clear for you.. my sons only 9 and he is getting well upset... thanks in advance

try connecting your psp to your PC, go to My computer, then removable disk then look to see if the files are saved on your memory stick and delete.

Just dont delete things unless you are positive you know what it is.

i dont think anything is corrupt on the mem stick,,, i might be wrong,, i think i have confused the psp by extracting the 2.6 files from the umd disc on to my 1.5
but i dont have a clue on how to rectify it ???
i could just fully upgrade to 2.6 or 2.7 but i really want to keep it as a 1.5....
????????????

If you don't have anything that absolutely needs to be saved, I'd suggest formatting the memory stick and starting from scratch. At least then you can see if thats the cause of the problem. Don't upgrade.

2poor is right, just copy your entire memory stick to PC and format the memory stick. That will solve it if it has something to do with the extraction. If that dosent work then i dont know what to suggest.

Maybe really consider if homebrew is that important, and upgrade and just use the GTA exploit.
