I've been given a faulty PSP and am trying to unbrick it but have hit a wall.
Basically, turned it on and the green power light came on but nothing happened on screen. So after googling the symptoms I thought a pandora battery would help unbrick it. I bought a device from ebay which changes the battery between normal and service modes. However, in the instructions it said that I would need some software on the memory stick, so i went back to google and I now realise I need a Magic Memory Stick. But from what I've read so far, I need a working PSP to format and install the files on the stick. I also need to know the firmware version of the PSP. Both of these I don't have. can i create the MMS with the card in a reader? and how significant is not knowing the firmware? |

Yeah. The only thing is that it sometimes tells ya to take it out without exiting USB mode... dunno what that would do...
