I had a 2.71 PSP with a TA-082 board. I upgraded to 2.80, then did the Hen 2.8/downgrader/1.50 Eboot install, and did the 2.80 ID Storage change for the TA-082 board, thanks to instructions by Kernel Kev in his tutorial. Everything went swimmingly- I made it to the blue screen at the end of the process and hit O, and I now have a 1.50 PSP. Only problem is the screen will not stay on now, it will flash on when I power up but flash off just as quickly. I know the PSP is still working, because I can hear it beep when I move around on the home screen. If I leave the psp alone for a few minutes, the screen will come on, but as soon as i press a button, then screen goes out. It seems as if the power conserving feature somehow got reversed!!
Did I do something wrong during the process? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Will upgrading resolve the issue? Thank you for your thoughts. -J Last edited by five40josh : 05-15-2008 at 04:28 AM. |

That seems very strange. Only things i can think of is that the downgrade somehow corrupt the video controller files or your screen has become loose at the same time (possible yet unlikely).
The only way i can think of sorting this is to upgrade (official or custom) and see if it continues. Only problem would be knowing what buttons to press. Kev ![]()
