Default Version 3.71 Downgrade help needed!

I have recently Downgraded my PSP Lite from Version 3.71 using a Pandoras battery (Phat) and a Magic memory stick... The intallation went perfectly except DUN DUN DUN!
After I had actualy completed the Downgrade to 3.91 M33-3 and the PSP was restarted I checked the version info and it still read "Version 3.71"
The only clue is that the screen rebooted the wallpaper to its original.
What happened?
Can I complete the Downgrade?

Thanx in advance for any response

All i can think of is that a file may be missing on ur magic mem stick. Even though i cant think of anything else i wouls of thought that if there was a file missing then you would have a bricked psp. Did everything go EXACTLY as you were told they would and did you do it EXACTLY how you were told to from wherever you found out how to do it?
