Default Homebrew verification

I have recently changed my PSP lite from version 3.71 to 3.71 m33 using pandora's battery and magic memory stick.
I look under: settings/system settings/system information and it says that it is still running: "Version 3.71" after the downgrading or changing should it tell me that I am running on custom firmware? Such as m33?
One pointer is that through the installation proccess it said "Installation Success press X to shut down PSP" and after the whole thing the background has changed back to the normal Sony background.

Thanx in advance
