You can make a Pandoras Battery and then turn it back into a normal battery if you want.

Everything should be done automatically. That is not normal. I had the same problem when trying this on my own PSP using my neighbors PC and couldnt get it to work, but on my PC it worked just fine. I never did figure out what the deal was, why it did that with his PC but not mine. One thing I didnt try doing was selecting a different option other than #4. You can also try this..... Download this .rar and extract it to the root of your "C:" Drive. this is the only thing that is different between my PC and my neighbors pc. It has a .msipl.bin file in it, I dont remember if it was part of the process or not. I doubt it cause a few people have successfully used my tutorial..... but its worth a try! here is the link to the folder I have on my "C:" Drive...... pandora.rar

Let me know if you get it to work after doing any of these steps and let me know which solution fixed the problem so I can make the necessary change to my tutorial. Thanks.

Tried all but #3 for the Slim (obviously) and the same load error as before.

Same deal. This was on the same XP laptop as my original attempts. And it didn't work on my x64 Vista desktop. But it did work on my x86 Vista machine. Although I got this message after I choose #4 and hit ENTER:

Warning: No DPMI-server FPU support.

Otherwise it wrote all the files and did as the rest of the guide to completion. Now, is there cause for alarm over this warning message though?

Incredibly thorough guide. Definitely the clearest guide I've encountered for making these two components. I'll need to pick up the right battery before trying this though.

"Step 18:
Remove the Memory Stick, then disable USB Connection. Now your Finished! You now have a Magic Mem Stick with CFW installer on it."

Question: I have the required memory stick needed to make the magic stick. Will I need another memory stick after turning the original one into a magic stick? Or does the magic memory stick work like a regular one?

After you have a magic memory stick, to turn it back to normal just format it and your ready to go.

Thumbs up Bingo

right, ive had a mess about with the panda.rar file. wot u want to do is really simple,

1. download file
2. save file to desktop
3. format memory card in ur psp, this is the only time u should do it, even when programme tells u 2 DONT.
4. open file u saved to ur desktop, cut out the misipl.bin file
5. paste it into the main root file on ur psp
6. thats it, just run the programme, everything should be hunky dorey!

any questions just ask

Because you are on 3.71 the only way to get CF is by using pandora battery.
