Cool

Do you still have a warranty. What version are you useing? try updating. Or it could be your UMD drive, put your disc in and listen for anything wrong.

I dont think there is a psp virus

PSP Viruses do exist, but they're very, very uncommon, and most likely, that's not your issue.

I've searched Google and it appears to be a VERY common problem, usually the result of heavy handling. No one seems to have a definite solution but some of the suggestions are... removing battery, restoring factory settings in the options and blowing into the UMD slot. Oh and someone suggested hitting it, but I wouldn't recommend that...

failing those things, you will probaby have to contact Sony. Someone seems to think a lot of PSPs have flimsy lenses. I imagine they'll just say send it in and pay to have it refurbished :/

oh... and someone suggests using a cotton bud to clean the lens

Sony should really develop a lens cleaner UMD
