Hi there.
Do you know what version of firmware I need to play Loco Roco? Or Talkman? My PSP is 1.5, maybe some homebrew app will let me play those by bypassing the version check? Thanks for your help. PS: I own both games in UMD, I just couldn't warn in time my friends it might not work on my PSP |

you can either update your psp to the newest firmware (i think you need 2.6 to run locoroco) or you could download devhook - a homebrew app that emulates 2.6 firmware that will allow you to play the games and keep on fw 1.5, its up to you, but if you upgrade your psp you will not be able to run any homebrew.
search for devhook in these forums to find the link to download it and how to run it, will warn you that from what ive heard its pretty complicated to set up devhook EDIT: its not that hard to find one really, i just searched out of curiosity and found a full one with instructions straight away

Loco Roco requires firmware 2.60 but the UMD can be run on a 1.5 PSP using Devhook as odgwyn says above. The latest version of Devhook can emulate 2.71 firmware and therefore the vast majority of new games.
Providing you can follow instructions Devhook isn't that difficult to set up. There are also pre-setup versions out there that aren't that difficult to find. No links to them are allowed on here but to save the hassle of setting it up (which I had done with the 2.50 and 2.60 version) I searched and found a pre-setup 2.71 version that came in at about 25mb. All I did was copy the folders onto my memorystick 'as is' and it worked first time.

If you have a hotspot (for hooking up to the internet via WLAN) around you. All you have to do is go to System Settings (all the way to the left on main screen of PSP) then go all the way up to Network Update, and click it....just follow the instructions from there.
In Dutch.... ...just volg de instructies van daar.....I think
