Default Wipeout Pure Review and Video

Wipeout Pure

Click here for a video of me playing Wipeout Pure on my PSP.

I used UMD Emulator to mount the iso and then play it on 1.5 FW PSP.

Release Notes: The latest and the greatest in the seminal WipEout series, 'Pure' distils the essence of anti-gravity racing and futuristic adrenaline-fuelled combat. Hi-tech weapons, hi-octane speed and a high-tempo dance soundtrack combine to deliver an explosive taste of the future directly into your hands. Supporting up to eight players via a Wi-Fi link for multiplayer gameplay, gamers will be able to take on their friends and attempt to blast enemy ships to pieces in a fierce competition for top racing honors. Players who win a gold, silver or bronze trophy will earn fresh racing colors, new ships and four classic tracks from past installments in the Wipeout series. Fresh downloadable content that can be saved to a Memory Stick Duo, such as new tracks, ships, skins and music, will expand the racing experience and allow for personalization of the game.

My Review

Gameplay: When it launched in 1995 on the playstation it was a big hit but now when it launced on Sony's new handheld, the PSP, WipEout was easily the most progressive title in the pack. If you played the game years ago called Star Wars Racer well this is the same game with better graphics and worst handling controls...The game play is ultra-fast and it has a remarkably good, CD-quality techno-filled music.

Graphics: This game, Wipeout Pure, has beautiful visuals that made fans of Sony's then-newborn console/handheld brand. It includes shading, lighting and damage. View the video included to see how the game plays.

Overall: Overall Wipeout Pure is a return to form in many different ways, none is so obvious as the way vehicles handle. Fusion's courses tended to be very wide and thus the vehicles were much more prone to making harsher turns. At high speeds and intense moments when you turn the game tends to over turn like in Driv3r game... This was a bother for old players who had to relearn to play, and for fresh pilots who simply found the learning curve too difficult. Thankfully, the vehicles in Fusion handle similarly to those in earlier games. It's much easier to keep the nose of the ship pointed forward, for example, and air-brake-assisted drifting becomes second-nature after little practice. The game also expirenced frame rate problems over the UMD but none with the Memory Stick because of the faster loading...

I would reccomend this game to anyone who likes high speed games without a few flaws here and there. This is a good download or rent. You decide weather or not to purchase it. View the vid. I would rate it 8.5/10.

Well express it correctly, not by saying it's a waste of time. I spend many hours writing these reviews and making vids of them. I don't need anyone saying it's a waste of time. Also you don't have to post it in each thread. You probably didn't even read the reviews.
