Default LocoRoco Review and Video

LocoRoco

Click here for a video of me playing LocoRoco on my PSP.

I used DevHook to load the game iso.

Release Notes: LocoRoco plunges you into a colourful world where jelly-like creatures (LocoRoco) sing, roll and bounce their way through
levels to reach their goals. Guide your LocoRoco through the
various worlds using a simple tilting and bouncing gameplay
mechanic -– using the PSP system's Left and Right shoulder buttons
to tilt the ground up to about 30 degrees in either direction.
The jelly-like LocoRoco don't stay still -- guide these little
characters as they bounce, roll and jump their way to the goal,
avoiding splinters and enemies.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Review:

Gameplay: I was surprised when I first played the game. The game is based on a jelly like creature called a LocoRoco that sings random Japanese Songs. All you have to do is guide your LocoRoco through levels by simply using the bouncing and tilting mechanic. The shoulder buttons on the PSP provide the tilting to either left or right and to bounce you hold both of the shoulder buttons. You collect a red specie of plant which has a LocoRoco in it. In each level there are 20 LocoRoco's. You have to collect these creatures. As you collect them the bigger your LocoRoco gets. With this, all you have to do is avoid enimies and splinters to their goal for peace. You can see all this in the video I provided above.

Graphics: The graphics are extremely good for a 2D game. I felt like I was in a flash game. The environment is interactive. You can brake, feel, and roll things on the environment.

Overall: Buy this game right now if you have a 4 year old son or daughter. If you don't I highly reccommend not getting this game. It's very childish and doesn't have a point to it. This might be worth a download or rent but definately not a purchase. I would give it a 6.5/10.

It's not childish. It's fun, and challenging at some points. Download the demo to see for yourself.
