I believe the program runs on your PC and 'fools' your PSP into thinking its playing adhoc.

of course what I meant was that therefore it didn't matter what version firmware you are running.

No your PSP doesn't even know that it's using xlink...i did it with my xbox with a network cable someone hosts a game on xlink and makes a game on his xbox in system link mode... it thinks you are playing system link with another xbox...it must be some thing like with PSP
