Default Katamari Messed Up

I JUST bought Me & My Katamari...LOVE it. I'm really confused though.... when you're rolling up balls does it really matter what items you put into it?
Like, on the level with the Ant where you need to make a "sweet" Katamari.... which ones are sweet and which ones aren't? Is there a way to tell? Like, I finish the level and the King tells me my Katamari is "sour" and beats the crap out of the Prince! How am I supposed to know that Fruit isn't sweet or that cookie bars aren't sweet but plain cookies are???

Can someone help me out here?? Losing my freakin' mind!! :x

No wonder this forum is a barren desert. What wonderful help/attitude is being handed out here.....I thought the purpose of a forum was to seek advice from a group of informed (hopefully on the requested item) individuals.

Commander, if you are new to Katamari, I agree you should do a quick Google and get some background on the "story".

I have yet to pick this game up yet as I am still working on Syphon Filter but Katamari is a classic to some folks (me).

In a certain stages you have specific items you have to have in your Katamari. I remember trying to get the biggest bear in the first game and it was hard as hell to avoid freakin' teddy bears so that I could roll up a big enough Katamari to get a real bear.

If you are not sure, you could always pick up the same of one item (I know, not easy) and see what the King thinks via process of elimination.

Good luck with the game and let me know how you like it. I have been a bit let down by the reviews as they say the levels are repetitive. I will most likely get the game regardless as I love this series.

Yeh, It's a pretty awesome game. The levels do get kind of repetatve after a while but that's alright with the gameplay and all the things you can unlock. It is a bit tricky if you don't know what you're doing (as I found out the ard way) lol Good luck to anyone who wants to try it out!

I got the game to, the King only beats the crap out of you if you don't get your katamari to the right size other than that you can roll up anything. On the bottom left of the screen it shows what u rolled up

oh your poor poor katamari-less people haha luckily im a katamari freak and an owner of the entire series haha anyways yes in the levels they ask for "themed" katamari : sweet, hard, loud, cool yet in this version all you have to do is roll the katamari collecting stuff until it grows to the desired size (if you're REALLY good you'll try to ge it twice the size they ask for i.e, if they ask for 10cm make it 20 or higher). In We love katamari (the sequel to the first game Kaamari Damacy on the PS2)
fans of the game ask you to roll up diffrent themes (flowers sweets snimals etc) and you roll up thr diffrent themes TRE BIEN! haha sorry if im rambling but i had to give my 2 cents hope iv'e helped

no wonder they dont know the answer to the question anyway basicly yeah process of elimination isprobably the best way (no reason to be flaming the guy or anyone else there trying to help well the second person was anyway)
