Default What is the UK release date and price?

I'm in work and im very limited to the games site that I can access. Does anyone know if an office release date has been set? Also how much will the Value pack go on sale for.

If it goes the same way as it does with all other consoles in the UK we'll be playing something near £200 im guessing.

It looks like it could now be as late as September and will retail for about £150.

SEPTEMBER!!!! I can't be bothered waiting that long! I wanted to take it with me to Ayia Napa in July.

How much will the games sell for. Again i'm guessing around £30 (too much in my oppinion).

If I get a Jap model (minus the dodgy square button) i'll have a better screen and be able to play uk UMD's when they come out here. Will I be able to go online and play/update my PSP in the UK with a JAP model?

You don't have to wait that long. Go to gbax.com or lik-sang.com and order a Japanese PSP now. Even when the games come out over here they will all still work and if you get a Japanese PSP the UMD movies will even work that are released here too.

I'm not sure if you can use online update with a Japanese model in the UK but you can just flash the PSP using a downloaded image.

Do you think £30 is too much for PS2/Xbox games? I think you are judging the quality and size of PSP games on the fact it is a handheld and you maybe have the GBA (and dare I say it the DS) in mind. Take it from me, I currently have five PSP games and £30 is definitely worth it because, when done well, the difference between PSP and PS2 version of a game would be minimal.

Yeah thats a good point. Think i'll wait to see if they come out in June. If they don't i'll order one from Japan. I dont want to have my PSP's network capabilitys to be stop working though. That would be a pain. Can some one post a link to a English manual (can't search in work).

Yeah suppose £29.99 isn't too bad. If it went over that it wouldn't be as good value. Afterall UMD's are cheaper to produce than DS's carts.

Amazon and Play.com have PSP games listed as £40 rrp. Discounted to £35 on Play and £30 on Amazon. I wouldn't be surprised if the value pack costs £180-200 at Uk launch. Poss as late as Nov!?
