PSP XCOM (UFO Enemy unknown) would it be possible to port?
I dont know tech stuff, but it seems that as the game has pretty basic graphics it shouldnt be a problem. This game has a massive following on various other platforms and i think it would be a massive hit on the PSP. Can anyone do it????? How long does it take to do ? Does anyone else agree with me ?? gbgunner |

Well, if you want it desperately you might be able to play it on the PSP via the ST emulator Castaway which is one of the best emulators for the handheld. It is much faster than PSP Winuae and it's game compatibility is good. Two possible problems though:-
1) I cannot guarantee the game will work with the emulator. 2) More importantly, it is fairly unlikely the emulator will work with a PSP above V1.5 firmware which is what I use it with (I don't know what firmware you have). Castaway hasn't been updated for some time and the last verion of the emulator was released before V2.0 firmware was released I think, never mind the .tiff exploit. If the emulator works at all using either the .tiff or GTA exploit, it will be more luck than design. However, it is worth a go and the ST version of the game is identical to the Amiga version which is the original and, some would say, best.
