Ubisfoft has just released eight new screens of Splinter Cell: Essentials, the first title in the Splinter Cell series to appear on PSP. Essentials is not a port of any existing Splinter Cell game, but rather a title that spans Sam Fishers entire career, from before he joined 3rd Echelon and was a navy SEAL, leading right up to the death of his daughter in Splinter Cell: Double Agent (for current gen consoles, PC and the Xbox 360).

Screens only tell part of the picture. It could be the best looking game in the world but I wouldn't buy it unless they managed to find a way around the limited controls on the PSP when it comes to this type of game. Hopefully they will do a better job than Lucasarts did with Battlefront II which has a similar control method in the computer/console versions.
