This site is the best review lookup site out there as they give a score based upon the average of as many reviews as they can get their hands on. Check below for the NFSU metascore:- http://www.metacritic.com/games/plat...ergroundrivals |

Got this last Friday and been playing it all weekend.
The graphics and sheer polish is not as good as RidgeRacers but the overall depth and the licenced music and cars makes up for that. Very enjoyable and well worth the money. Buy it now. ![]()

Your better off buying ridge racer or wipeout pure, especially if you've already played nfs:u2. nfs:r is more or less a watered down version of u2, the story elements are gone (but trust me, that is a VERY good thing, the story in u2 was AWFUL), some new cars, but alot of the cars have been removed (including the trueno  ), the upgrade system is stupid (everything costs the same), no "tweaking", after playing both nfs:u games rivals is REALLY boring after a while.
In other words, you'll probably like it if you haven't played an nfs:u game before, if you have your better off with a better game.

Unemployed, tracksuit wearing, benefit frauding, scum. There is no way a game where adding neon tubing, body kits, and alloys to a Nissan Skyline can be compared to some Chav/Ned doing up his banged up Fiesta with a spoiler and a Panasonic rear windshield sticker. Unfair, and extremely ridiculous. |

Not true. Neds/Chavs/Townies or whatever you want to call them have a 'hobby' that involves buying old cheap low powered cars then spending their money on various 'mods' that make the car look rediculous. Maybe they are different in Scotland in which case I envy you.
Here is a list of various mods I compiled for another forum and marks out of 10 for stupidity in my opinion. Feel free to disagree though. - Two exhaust pipes but an engine of 1.6 and less = 4 out of 10. - Four exhaust pipes on a 1.4 litre Saxo or Corsa = 7 out of 10. - Spinner hub caps = 7 out of 10 - Changing your window squirters for blue leds to warn other drivers that an idiot is approaching = 9 out of 10 - Stupid skirts and bumbers on a car that would struggle to go faster than 90 downhill with the wind behind it = 8 out of 10 - Stick on bonnet air intakes = 8 out of 10 - Painting you rear drum brakes the same colour as your car (as if not having all round disk brakes is something to be proud of) = 9 out of 10 - Having a white 'Mad For It', 'On A Mission' or 'Pioneer' sticker on your rear window = 7 out of 10 - Steaming off your 316i/318i badge in the hope people will think it's a 328i (although with one pipe) = 9 out of 10 - Steaming off your 316i/318i badge and replacing it with a stolen M3 badge = 16 out of 10 - Undercar neons on ANY car = 10 out of 10. Add your own entries if you want. |
