Default Anyone in the UK successfully played Ridge Racer in Ad hoc?

My friend and I both have UK PSP's, both running firmware version 2.5, and we both have a copy of ridge racer. We've been trying to play each other in ad hoc mode. If one of us creates a game and the other then searches for games to join, it always comes up with 'no games are cuurently being hosted'. We have been through every possible setting, tried every channel in ad hoc mode and of course the WLAN switch on our PSP's is on. Changing the WLAN power save setting made no difference either. After several days of trying to work out what's wrong, I'm starting to wonder if this feature is actually implemented properly in the UK version of the game. Just wondering if anyone in the UK has successfully played against another player wirelessly? Just to clarify, we're not trying to play over the internet, just against each other using ad hoc mode. It's as though the two PSP's just won't see each other. Help!!

I suspect you are using two different region versions of the game. I have played my Japanese Ridge Racers against my friend who also has the Japanese version BUT it doesn't work against my cousins UK version.

You were right! Mine's the UK version of the game and the other copy looks like it's probably the US edition. I've tried the wireless battle with just one copy of the game and it works. Looks like my friend will have to swap his copy for a UK one. Thanks for the help
