Default Anyone know why the Japanese Ridge Racers is mainly English?

Not totally about PSP games, I know, sorry, but I have a Japenese PSP and Ridge Racers, and I find it funny how the main menu is in English, and how, for a Japenese game, the whole race some guy is yelling "Someone is creeping up on you!" and "Wow, great drift!" - The countdown is in English, the main menu of like "World Tour" "Single Race" "Options" etc. is in English... the World Tour video is a good minute or 2 long and is all English. Anyone know why? Its so weird and funny to me.

well prolly cause the developers knew it would be a popular game and wanted to make it easier for people that imported it since it is not region coded

lol I doubt that, do you see people releasing games hear yelling at us in Japenese? Do the Japanese understand basic English or what? Because I know there's like Taxi's and signs and stuff, lots of Japenese things have English with them, its weird. :?

Namco are notorious for releasing games in Japan with high volumes of English text and spoken content.
