Ape escape: Apes on the loose PSP

This is my first ever game on my PSP. I think it's pretty decent and a lot like the PS1 original - however, I've looked up many online reviews on this from top sites like IGN and Metacritic...whilst I'm not really a fan of the entire series, I think the PSP version does the PS1 version justice.

BUT...like I say, many online reviews are against the entire game rating it:
6-7/10.
Now the original got 10/10 - so why the huge gap?
Can anyone give me a reason why this game got such a bad media response? for me it is very much like the old game - fun! Am I missing something?

Anyway - just ordered Monster Hunter 2...seems promising!

Not sure why it got bad ratings cause I've never played the PSP version. Loved the one on the Playstation, though. I'm sure it's a great game, but people want something new, which I don't see it having much of. The ratings don't really matter, anyways. If you like it you like it.

And I want Monster Hunter 2! If I wasn't saving up for other stuff I'd get it. My brother and I have the first one and it's a blast playing with someone.
