The Wifimax uses a certain chipset by Zydas ZD1211 or something. with certain software it can connect ur psp ad hoc games thru the Xlink service and play ad hoc as if you were next to each other. Although the Wifimax was made specifically for this function in mind, (and you can use it to also mimic an access point (infrastucture) if you have DSL or Cable Broadband and want to use ur psp for the net) there are other Models of wireless cards available
Thw wifimax itself is brilliant, but some how got some bad reviews by people, its 50/50. This is down to some people expecting to plug it in and then for it just to work. but you need special drivers which are available (zdwLan utility), and then to download Xlink Kai. With a little tinkering it works. i know it works, but none of the games played on there, i like, as ive said, i dont have a lot of time ATM. The compatibilty list for other cards on the teamxlink forum is here: Compatibility List And someone has made a youtube vid on how to set it up properly: youtube tutorial and how to use/configure the settings is on the forums at teamxlink too Im not hypnotising people LOL, i just thought no one knows anything about it. and with my huge collection of games, it would be cool to play someone from here Now look into my cat: you will feeeel sleeeeeepy.
