Default Lost save game information

How stable is the PSP for saved game data?

I ask because I had completed over 50% of Lego StarWars II and it meant my nippa could free play any level and try to get all the secret stuff etc.. but this morning, NO DATA!!! Obviously not the biggest headache in the world but how often does this happen? is there any way to backup saved data and is it worth it?

Is there any scope to recover the lost data? the 15 hours it took me to get that far will be a real labour to do again...does anyone have a data file they are happy to let me have so I don't have to lose half my life to this game again!!

thanks for any help on this.

The way in which in future you could back up your save data is too drag and drop the save data on your PC, then if it does get lost at least you have it backed up on your computer.
There are a few saves here but all 100%

I personally don't back up my saves but it won't do no harm if you do.
As for the system stability i haven't experienced the loss of my game saves and i don't know anyone who has.

I have never lost any data on my stick, but if your losing data on yours it could be a sign that you need to replace your stick.
