Default Fifa 08 online play

Hi everyone,

I have a new slim and lite PSP with Fifa 08.

I have got a virgin media broadband connection with the following router:

Buy BELKIN F5D7231UK4 | Wireless router - Specification | Comet

I have 100% signal strength but when I play there is slight lag and when I press a button for it to do something it delays before the action and therefore I cannot play properly.

Is there anything I can do about it or is it a common problem?

Thanks.
Gareth.

Its a bit like that for me on NHL 07

I guess all you can do is look into a new Cable router, although I know there's not many. My partner has a D-Link one which gives a stronger connection than my BT one at home (which constantly disconnects) but if there's a power cut it resets all the settings. I've phoned them 4 times now to help me fix it and every time the solution has been different! They're very helpful though.

When I go into the lobby to play online and enter a game that someone is hosting, it has 4 little bars next to both players. Does anyone know what this means?

Mine is usually at 3 but on a couple of games last night it was down to 1 while my opponents was on 3 and I'm not sure what it is. I thought it was signal strength or something but I was right next to my wireless router which is a netgear wgt624 does anyone else have a problem with this router?

Also, I have lost connection in a couple of games and I don't know why this would occur. I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light onto the situation.

Thanks.
Gareth.

I think it *may* be something to do with signal strength... do you use your PC wirelessly? I have similar problems RE: losing the connection within NHL and some sites cause my wireless PC to drop connection too, such as Myspace pages with a lot of videos and images.

Did it disconnect on the games where you were down to 1? Do you find the games difficult because of large amounts of lag?
