Its a UK seller £2.20 + postage up to now, about a day to go
it says nothing about version, so im just hopin its a UK version, all the others are costin £15 + cos theyre hyped up as being the golden ticket to homebrew, this is just someone selling the game fingers x'ed

Im pretty sure that there were no new versions of the game that fixed the exploit like GTA did, lumines isnt popular enough for that.

lumines arrived in the post a few moments ago. and ive followed kevs/noobz guide to the letter up to now.
It says load the game and press X and the screen will turn to a light blue colour - it doesnt - it just loads the game. however, under the game menu, the 1.50 update is available. i dont want to brick the PSP. does anyone know what i should do next?

The 1.50 update is visible because you have put "EBOOT.PBP" into the UPDATE folder. This is normal, but the psp will not let you load the update as you are on 3.50 (a higher firmware)

At a guess i would think you havent put it in the correct file structure... REMEMBER:

copy the CONTENTS of MS_ROOT folder to the topmost section of the memory card, where PSP folder is (NOT IN PSP FOLDER)

so you should not have a folder in your memory stick called ms_root.

The exploit is unstable so may take a few attempts, the tiff exploit (not the one used here) took me about 15 tries to get it to work.

Its like a glitch, sometimes it happens, then it might not.

Also, you are on 3.50 firmware arnet you, and it is definately the UK version of lumines?

Like i said, ive followed it to the letter.
I read thru every post also, and there was a guy who had the same issue as me named craig. kev replied with - "You need to use the downgrader aswell, you cant just put in the update file and expect it to work, look at my thread more closely to see what your missing. "
Forgive me for being thick but where in the instructions does it say anything about a downgrader? and where is it?

v 3.50 firmware
The contents of the ms_root have been copy pasted to the root folder. (ive removed the existing MS_ROOT folder if this makes any difference)
the v 1.50 PBP has been renamed to UPDATE.PBP and placed in the PSP>GAME>UPDATE folder.
Ive also restarted the game about 10 times to make sure.
Still no luck

Lol, that guy was only putting the update file onto the memory card, hence why the downgrader didnt work.

The three links are the 3.50 upgrade, to upgrade obviously.

then the 1.50 update, this is to get back to 1.50

and the third is the downgrader. (the contents of the mp_root folder)

You could check the readme file in the download, if i have missed something, but i dont think i have.

i have all three downloads. the downgrader package contains 3 folders at root. src, MS_ROOT and checkworks. the 'src' folder contains another folder called 'Downgrader 350' which contains numerous other folders containing files.

I cannot see any folder named mp_root in any of the archives i downloaded from the links provided on the downgrader guide, although one exists on the MS
