I would love it if the screen flips out like a sidekick. I never owned one of those, but every time I'm with one of my friends that has it, I just keep flipping the screen in and a out, its so fun.

BTW, since the screen might flip out, does that mean that there might be a built in keyboard under it

I couldn't imagine the screen flipping out, maybe sliding out, but if the PSP's going to be WAY thinner, I don't think they could fit 2 screens in there...

Also, On one hand. that'd be cool, but on the other hand, I'd break it soooooooooooooo easy.

If I was Sony I'd make the screen flip and put a slot loading UMD spot underneath it.

Yeah that'd be sweet, space saver too!

I don't see how that would save space, but that would be pretty cool, a bit of a pain to swap UMDs, but hey, that's what the 8 gigs is for!

Why would it be a pain? All you would do it hit a switch like you do now. The screen would flip, you'd slide the UMD in, then slide the screen back.

I heard that underneath the part the screen slides out from will be the home, volume and screen buttons. 8) It's supposed to save space.

Also, in the same article it said that it would have a slot loading UMD drive like some of you said. 8) The only bad thing the article mentioned is that it will only have a 4gb HD instead of 8gb.

EDIT:

I decided to look up the article and post the link for you guys to check it out if you want to:

Here you go

oooh, I get what you mean now, I thought that you meant you'd have to open the psp till it's at like a 115 degree angle than hit another switch to pop out the UMD, in which case, I'd prefer how it is now.

OK, it is so useless. I'm watching E3 right now, and I don't like the new PSP. I mean its nice, but not worth buying if you have your old one. All they did was make it thinner (I didn't see much difference), lighter, and improved the battery life. I would have gotten it if it had built in memory, but it doesn't...

It's going for around $200 including a gig stick + daxter. It doesn't include the 8gig internal memory. All it is is 19% slimmer, a much better battery, and an output to a tv. Doesn't seem much to be excited about for to me. I won't be upgrading.
