Default Can find IP Adress

I have a psp version 2.60. At my house we have a wireless connector thingy for the internet. So i thought id try and go on the internet on my psp today. Well, everyhing worked great until it got to finding the ip adress. When it got here it just said "finding ip adress" like it always would but then it said something like "cannot find ip adress. Search has timed out" If anyone can help me or tell me what is wrong or how to fix it that would be great!
