Default WLAN indicator always lit, even when PSP is turned off!

Hello!

I was quite stupid yesterday, as I had my PSP right next to a glass of Coke. I never do this, and I have always taken good care of my PSP, but yesterday, it was lying next to that glass, and ofcourse I had to spill some on the PSP. I cant get over how stupid it was, but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Anyway, I wiped everything off and cleaned it as good as I could, and it seems to work perfectly, except for one thing. The WLAN indicator (the green light on the left of the analiog stick) is now lit at all times, even when the PSP is off!

It doesnt seem to use much battery life, or make any harm, but it's extremely annoying. Has anyone had the same problem, and does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? I know I can take it to where I bought it, but I'd rather fix it on my own if possible.

EDIT: I have seen several guides on the net for opening the PSP. Maybe thats a way to fix it?

Thanks for any help!

Eirik!

Turn it off, take the battery out, and unplug it. Let everything sit for a while. After that, put the battery back in, turn it back on, and try it. If it's still messed up you can either try to fix it with our help or try to screw Wal-Mart over, like me and Bamhm did.

I'm just hopeing that they'll take it back, if not, I'll fix it when I get this broken PSP in the mail, or at least I'll fix it enough for them to take it back, that PSP is more like a GSP(Ghettostation Portable :lol

Anyways, as for the light, I'm sure 100% sure that if you bought a new motherboard than the light would stop, but if you're still in warranty, just send it back to Sony.

lmfao, they'll take it back if you bitch a lot. "What? You won't take this back? This is BULL****. I JUST BOUGHT THE ****ING THING LAST NIGHT, AND YOU SOLD ME A ****ED UP ONE. HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME BY NOT GIVING MY THE COMMON COURTESY TO TAKE A BROKEN ITEM BACK. **** YOU, **** YOUR FAMILY, AND **** WAL-MART."

Done, and done.

I allready tried to take everything out and let it sit for a while, but without luck. I doubt I can take it back to Sony, as it's a damage I caused myself.

Sometimes it's alright to bend the truth a little bit (especially when dealing with huge companies like Sony) if you catch my drift.

Maybe I'll take it to Sony, but I wanna try to fix it myself first.

Any suggestions? Maybe opening it and have a look inside?
