Default Whats the best way??

Hi

In the wrong frame of mind I updated my PSP to FW 2.8.1 but now finding that alot of the homegrown games I want to play like "Lets make a deal" and "Who wants to be a millionaire" wont work

Whats the best way to downgrade the firmware on my PSP so I can play these games

Will I loose anything on the machine in the process, ie mp3's. movies or saved games?

Oh well I shall make do with what I have, I cannot complain, my Ipod died and I purchased a PSP ....bit of a jump in technology

I just purchased my first movie ...Constatine so I cannot wait for that to come in

I may look at getting a second memory card for the machine as well though that will depend on the cost

I dont mind waiting out for the downgrade however if anything else comes alone I will surely give it a go

So I gather I shouldnt jump on the 3.00 bandwagon when it comes out?

3.00 is a myth my friend it has been said to be comming out since the dawn of 2.6

Nah man wait like a month not even. seriously.
Dark Alex has almost got 2.8 hacked and then 2.81 should be a breeze. then you can downgrade to 1.5 and emulate the higher firmwares. its a piece of cake.

lol, go for 100%, I'm sure it'll take you longer, but like thehox said, give it a few weeks, my guess would be that there will be a downgrader or 1.5 emulator or something by the end of the month, mid November at the most.

Has anyone got some reliable sources to say that dark alex has nearly cracked 2.8, because i really cannot wait much longer. I remember when i had 2.1, what a prat i was to upgrade. For what, RSS and stupid demo games.

Hell i dont care about bricking it, if dark alex has created it then i trust him, or anything on qj.net

Well he did release the first 2.80 homebrew (Tetris) and he released a set of instructions for how to make your homebrew readable in 2.80..
I couldnt find it but I know on QJ they had mentiond he was well on his way to getting round 2.80
