Hi all im new here and im thinking about getting a psp.
but is it worth it?
ive played on my friends and its pretty good (only played F1racing) but how good are the other games?
my friend says its almost impossible to connect to the internet, is he right is he just doing something wrong?

Does your friend actually have a wireless router..? :wink:
I know someone who was complaining about not being able to connect to the internet in their house and when I asked about the router they didn't have one.

Anyway, Yes, I would say the PSP is definatly worth it. Its an amazing little machine. It can do more than playing games btw, you can also watch movies, listen to music, have photo's etc. Overall I say - Definatly Worth the money

No its extremely simple to connect to the internet, if you have a working router and everything set to detect auto.

As for other games, some are really good some arnt even worth as much as the bag it come in. All down to your own preferences.

But overall yes its worth it, but you will find most people saying that in a PSP forum.

Go ask the same question in a DS forum. :lol:

Well I mean as it were like the others said. Its more then just games;

-You can put videos on it or buy video umds which i mean if your sitting in class and bored or on a long bus ride just throw on some headphones and go.

-You can throw all your pictures on there to use at your wish. If your like me and are an abid web comic reader then you can take your arsonal on the road in your pockets. This applies for manga, or even just pictures or your friends and family you would just like to show off.

-Music! Zing! I cant do anything without my music cuz music is my life. I play in a band and practice many instruments. So as is obvious I need a mp3 player handy at all times. I origanally baught my psp becaue it costed just as much as your basic rechargable mp3. only it could do so much more. plus it pumps out really good sound and has a very nice folder managment system. Sure beat the hell out of all the other mp3s i had that broke in a month.

-Homebrew. You mentioned games and you wantted to know if psp had any good games. Well heres the thing. PSP has loads of great games on its own. Personally Im a burnout, prince or persia, worms kinda guy myself. But thets say you get tired of those. On psp you throw on gameboy games or snes or sega whatever your heart desires and more (including games made buy psp fans). Not t mention there are great programs for other things out there as well if you really get into the hacked psp scene. For instance you can use your PSP as a universal remote, or a calculater, or even a word proccesser.

The possibilities are infinate and it all fits right in your pocket on the bus man.
Trust me its worth it.

PSP is 100% worth it. It has good games, plays movies... It's a mobile computer pretty much. You can connect to the internet, download porn... LoL It's awesome!

ur gonna get a 2.81 psp since sony is now sending out 2.81 PSPs. So you will have to wait for a while b4 you can do homebrew... :wink: :wink: :wink:

I have had mine for 12 hours and cannot even think of the words to explain my experience

I actually am glad that my Ipod broke and I decided to get a PSP

It plays Music, shows photos, plays movies both ones you convert and move across and ones you buy and you can play games

Thats the official version of what you can do .... the list goes one

Really its like buying a car ...its a "MUST HAVE"!!!!
