Hi all im about to get a psp next monday. I am really interested in having wireless internet in my home so i can access the internet on my psp. I am having troubles trying to make up my mind between buying a router or a access point . I am a bit confused on what to buy as this is my first time going wireless. Any help would be great.

That's fine...I like answering people's questions. No need to apologize
The two most popular routers out there are B and G routers. B routers run at 11mbps and G routers run at 54mbps. So basically the G is just faster. HOWEVER: If you are only going to use the router to access the internet with your PSP. Just get the B router because that's the max PSP can run on. But if are going to use a computer and stuff too to get on the internet, get the G router.

dirtbikr6288 is right.
There is no point going above a wireless G router. If you are only going to use wireless with your PSP then a wireless B router will be cheaper and will do all you need. Even if you use a laptop as well, unless your internet connection is above 11mb the you wouldn't notice that much difference between a B and a G. IF you get a wireless G router, just make sure it's configured to run in B/G "mixed mode". Then the PSP will work
