If it's obvious that the defect is due to neglect, SONY won't touch it. But if you prove somehow that it is the PSP itself that is faulty, they SHOULD take care of it... (I've never had to send mine to SONY so I'm not entirely sure how their system works... :?

I had a problem with my PS2 like that. They "fixed" it for free. Of course after it did the same thing, I sold it to Gamestop, and with the money got a new one. LoL

When i brought my psp of ebay it was working fine but a few weeks after i downgraded the laser stoped working so I brought a new laser of ebay and fitted it myself meaning i saved myself alot of money by not sending it of to get repaired.

Morale of the story...

Buy off ebay to save a lot of cash
