Hi! I'm new around here...
|
Hey guys, I am currently here in Japan. Should I buy the Jap version, or the US version. I've been surfing for hours and reading your threads here, am sorry yet though I read the threads, it just keeps on getting confusing one thread after the other (about Jap VS US). Can somebody please help? I just need to know whic is better, US or JAP version? Do they really have that kind of difference other than that US(games/movies) = only USver & JP/UK(games/movies) = JP/UKver. Thanks in advance guys!

I'm not sure of the differences, if there are any, but I'd just get a PSP that is in your home region. I'm assuming you're from the US, so I'd get one from that region. It'll be more of a hassle trying to get movies and such if you get it from a different region anyways.

well, i dont think ill be using much of the UMD's anyway. ill be using it primarily on uploading videos on it and playing games with the help of homebrew. plus, i wont be returning till next year, so at this moment, i think i couldnt wait till next year to buy a psp with in my region.
- speaking of which, upto what version should i buy where it is still possible to homebrew the console? am i right, the max is version 2.5? upto which 2.5 over, you wont be able to play downloaded games anymore cause it cant be downgraded to 1.5? - does anyone know what version this PSP-1000G1, PSP-1000, PSP-1000K has? this is the psp's that are usually being sold in japan now. |

that is quite cheap, go for it, all games are region free anyway, the only problem you could face is when upgrading firmware but since you gonna be using homebrew this doesn't matter at all.
just remember with the jap version, circle means accept and X means back
