hey ive got the usb cable from my sony digatal camcorder and i use psp video 9 and it works with most of the videos i download i also have itunes but any way how do i transfer music and pics to the psp?? ps i have the standered psp 32mb memory stick should i format it

yes it must be formatted before you can use it.

no it doesn't. the 32mb stick that comes with the psp is already preformatted. besides he already said he put videos on there. you only have to format memory sticks that you purchase separately.

Well i'm glad yours came "pre-formatted" however mine did not.. I've walked many through formatting the 32mb card that came with the PSP because it was not ready to go. I agree with you on the video part however. I don't see how he added video unless he followed the steps and created the sub folders which is very possible without formatting the card. So if 1 can come without being formatted..others can as well.

ok i didn't know that. are you sure there wasn't a psp folder on your stick when you first got it? if i'm not mistaken, i'm pretty sure in the instruction manual it stated that there was no need to format the 32mb stick that came with it, but i could be wrong. apparently the videos (folder) has to be created but everything else is there. because i called sony when i got mine and asked them about the videos. the operator was dumb though so it didn't really do any good to call them. all he said to do was create a "videos" folder inside the psp folder and/or get the sony image converter for $20.

Mine did not have the 4 folders until I formatted it. I could not get music or pictures to work until I formatted the card.
