is there anyway of watchimg mp4 movies from my pc harddrive through my usb into my psp and onto the screen ( using it as a secondary monitor without putting the files onto my psp directly)??????

In short, No.

The PSP is a passive device when it comes to USB. You have to switch to USB mode and if you change to another screen it will drop the connection.

There might be something in the homebrew area, lets see what people say
