Default Game Sharing

Has anyone actually used the game sharing feature of the PSP? how did you do it?

I bought colin mcrae under the assumption that you could send demo's of it (and hence play multiplayer) to other psp, but I have no idea how.

All it says in the manual is that some games support game sharing!

You have to look on the back of the case at the little picture and match with what it says in the book.

Most games have to have both psp's running the same game but with individual UMD's. Others like, well i cant think of any at the mo but just read the back.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of "game sharing"?

you send demos of games - like the DS version. You can actually play against eachother in Burnout with only one UMD.

Yeah, but the original post asks about "game sharing". I understand that you are talking about Ad Hoc and that it is more common, but odgwyn asked about "game sharing". :? Maybe you don't understand what "game sharing" is, but you only need 1 UMD to do it, as Constantine described above. In this case, which is what the original question was about, if both people had the same UMD in their PSP you would not have to use the "game sharing" feature, as the person would not want a demo of a game they already have. Sorry if this sounds a little sarcastic, but I think you are missing the point so I decided to spell it out for you.

I think kevinorriss was trying to make the point that most games do not use game sharing rather you need two copies of the game to play multi-player. So in effect he was talking about game sharing stating that most games don't use the functionality

how do you use it? is there a specific option in the burnout menu to game share or do you do it from the PSP's menu?
