Default Battery Life

Before turning off my psp i check the percentage of battery remaining, and when i turn it back on later in the day, the percentage drops a little.
Anyone else experience this battery drain? Or can explain it?

Are you sure its not turned its self on by accident make sure the power button is locked when you turn it off the PSP uses the battery to keep its internal settings such as the clock etc but this should not be noticable after only a few hours of not being used. Also the temperature can affect the condition of the battery.
