Default Question in regards to a New PSP with stuck direction pad?

Hi everyone.

I just bought a PSP today and was trying out Winning Eleven 9 when I noticed that my guys run downward automatically. If I hit up..they will then turn up (or left and right) as long as I hold that direction pad, but as soon as I release it they run down (south) again.

The same happens with kicks. If I just hit kick (be it a pass or shoot) and I'm not holding a direction pad, the player will kick the ball downwards.

Has anyone had problems with a stuck direction pad on the PSP...or have heard if there is an issue with this game. When I power the PSP up though...it doesnt automatically cycle downward through the options, which makes me wonder if it is indeed a stuck pad.

I guess I will have to return it, but I just want to make sure there isnt something I have to adjust in the settings or something like that which I just am not aware of.

It's probably the game itself. I have one game that my D-pad hangs to the left sometimes on a racing game. Its the only situation where it happens and others with that game reported the same problem.
