Default Uprgrades

Hey, I need help on all these update things.
I don't want to upgrade because of some of the things other members have said, about not being able to play games, so can I still play certain ones if I don't upgrade?
And can someone tell me how it all works thanks.

Are you talking about homebrew games or UMD games?

Well basically if you have ver. 1.0 or 1.5 you cn run all homebrew, they hav also hacked v. 2.0 (u can play abt 85% of all homebrew). recently they hacked version 2 - 2.6, you can run homebrew on these versions if you hav GTA thats about it, check out the stickys in the homebrew section

Good Day
