Default Dropped my PSP, battery dead?

Hello,

I made the very clumsy mistake to drop my PSP from about 1 meter height down on a hard tile floor. Now I can no longer start the PSP with the battery. It only boots when I plug in a power chord.

I have checked if there is any current in the battery and there is. I have also tested to move the battery around in its sock to test if it has contact but without success.

My questions is now;

Is this a known problem?
Is it possible that the battery died from the impact despite the current in it?

:?:
Best regards /warp

wow sorry no clue why that is,but id be in tears of fright if I dropped mine . my best guess would be tthat the socket maybe wireing in it got messed up because a battery wont stop working just because of a fall. maybe u could test it on a friends psp just to see for sure it its isnt the battery

It was the battery... glad that I didn't have to send it for service.

So if you drop your psp and it won't start it's a good chance that the battery needs to be replaced
