But you can buy UMD's from the UK if you have a Japanese PSP and they will work. If you live in the UK then this isn't a problem because all the UMD's you can buy from Virgin/HMV etc. will work fine. If you are from the US then you can import them.
This is a good reason people should fill in the location field on their signature - answering questions like this would be a lot easier.

i got a japanesse psp, but only cuz i wanted it back in december. you'd probably be better off getting an engllish one, so then at least english sony repair companies will not look at you funny if something goes wrong
