Default sorry. sum help pls

gonna sound like a idiot for posting this. but i followed the instructions from the sony update page, but i cant get update to work. im trying to update from 1.51 to 2.0. i saved the 2.0 eboot file into the location specified on the sony update page. but wen i click on the update on the psp, it goes to a colorful screen, then blacks out, then it says that the game cannot be started (80020148). wots happening?? thanx

where did u put ur eboot??u must put ur eboot at PSP/GAMES/UPDATE/EBOOT
i forgot,the UPDATE should have S or dont hav S?? :P

i just followed the instructions on the sony update page. i think it was PSP/GAME/UPDATE then save the eboot in the update folder. i have no idea wot im doin wrong.

erm. i brought my psp from hk. so it should be a japanese version rite??
also, on several sites, it says to press the X button to start the upgrade, but wen i press X on the upgrade tab it goes bk to the previous menu. so i have to press circle to start the upgrade. does dis make ne dif??

ooooh. got it working. at last. i think it was bcos i didnt save the update folder in capitals. well, at least thats the only thing i changed and now it works. altho on the sony page it says that the folder names are not case sensitive. but i suda just followed the diagram in the first place. lol.

but right now i updated the v2.0 for japanese psp. i brought my psp from HK, this sud be the right one rite??

On Jap PSPs the select button is the circle and back is the x button (opposite to everywhere else).

So when instructions tell you to press x, press circle (except in games)!!

yes for everbody that doesnt know the game folders for homebrew and updates are case sensitive and must be in all caps
