Default Made in Japan vs Made in China?

I recently noticed that the PSP stock in Walmart are made in China. Since the first batches from Japan had problems with dead pixels, does anyone know if these batches from China have the same problem? I believe I read somewhere that the China batches have a different LCD manufacturer.

Does anyone also know if the PSPs are completely made in China, or are parts shipped there for assembly in China?

I'm looking to buy a PSP, but not sure whether to go with the made in Japan one or the made in China one. I guess it's the option of possibly getting a better built PSP but with chance of bad pixels or getting a slightly lesser quality PSP but with lesser chance of bad pixels?

These models are in English. They're just either made in Japan or China, as I'm sure yours is too.

MY opinion:
China Electronics are made out of cheaper Parts.
as u know,Cheaper thing will easily get broken.
I think u should buy Japanese or U.S or wateva  .
I dont like china's electronics.

just like my china made GBA,the R,L button makes sound 'ticks' when i press it.And my friends Japan made GBA makes no sound when i press it.
(this is the difference of CHINA MADE and JAPAN MADE

I wouldn't have thought it would matter where they were made. If they are legit models then they would be made to a standard that Sony sets. The components may differ slightly but should be of the same quality.
Occasionally you may get slightly better components but that really depends as much on the batch the model came from not where (like the early models had a different screen. But later models will have the same screen, no matter where they are put together)

labour costs, building costs, etc. are all a lot cheaper in china. Japan is getting more expensive, america even more so. Why do you think most of the hi-tech stuff gets made outside the US!
