Default Tweak For MS?

Hi,

I have a 512 mb ms and it takes about 30 mins to copy a 400 mb file while my friends 512 mb ms only takes 5 mins to copy THE EXACT file!!!

Is it the PSP's problem or is it my ms that is stuffed?

Anyone got an idea to fix it?

Thanks! :P 8)

Well, Sony sticks are really slow but 30 minutes is rediculous. Are you using the same system to copy it from? Try using the same system, cable and PSP. If one system was running under USB 1.0 and the other under USB 2.0 this could explain things as 2.0 is about 10x faster. If you are using the same system, cable and PSP and you still have the problem it can only be the memory card so I suggest you take it back for a replacement.

Five minutes for a 400mb file sounds about right - that is how long it take on my Sony 512mb using USB2.0. The funny thing is, on the cheaper Sandisk cards, it takes half the time.

Tell us how it goes.

HOWEVER, sometimes it copies files around 300 mb in less than 5 mins, this is RANDOm   :x

Well, if you have used the same cable, the same PSP and the same system for copying the same file it can only be the memory stick that is causing it. Return it and ask for a replacement.
