i recently got x-men legends, and i didnt even know that you need version 2.0 to play it! the game has the 2.0 upgrade on the disk so i decided to upgrade it because i really wanted this game. this sucks what a jip. bye bye to all my homebrew

anyone else get forced to upgrade?

im currently playin the umd game in memostick,so i wont have to upgrade.

Well if you're still on 1.5, you can get a program called Wab version changer. It tricks the PSP to think it's 2.0 or whatever you want and you don't have to upgrade.

I posted a link to that version changer about a month ago. There is a new one out now that works better.

The System think it's a PSP v1.52 ,v1.0 ,v2.0, V7.50 and not the v2.50 why ever wait a new version for update the changer :=) .

even if its a v1.5 or 1.0 .

As you can see, it is the new changer by Yoshihiro and SonyXTeam. Yoshihiro is who coded the original WAB changer before he left them. Get it from here.
