I would be very surprised if you can get them to work outside iTunes. The whole point of the video service is to prove to the film/tv makers that they can sell video on line without being able to copy it. The files probably have added copy protection.
If anyone does manage it, then I can't see the service being more than a flash in the pan |

as you know I'm a mac user lol
and the the only format that plays on itunes are quicktime files and you can convert quicktime files I've even gave some quicktime avi files to my mate with a PC to convert, even tho the PC doesnt play the quicktime avi's becuase he has such an old version of QT but when he converts them useing video 9 he can then watch them on the PSP so I see no problem what so ever with getting these videos to work/convert on the PSP |

Phat Boab, have you tried buying a video yet. Can you convert a liscensed iTunes file to MP3 with apple software. I only use windows based music service. I know that Microsoft tries to stop people making software that converts liscense based wma files. The ones that do usually get shut down. The ones that don't, just record the "what U here" audio channel, it works but you get some noise.
I agree pagnell that someone will come up with a way but it will be a hack that will end up like homebrew, apple closes the format then someone beats it again. The point of the new service is to allow you to buy programmes. If can convert and copy them it will loose too much money and the film/tv companies won't allow them to use their content We need to find someone who has a unit and tries to convert it |
