Is it only the Samsung screen (US/UK versions) that have the dead pixels and not the Sharp screen (JAP)?
And do the new ceramic white PSPs have the sharp screens? |

Oh...so even though the White Ceramic ones are made in Japan they're NOT SHARP screens? The online store I was thinking of buying from is saying that they're sharp screens :S

The sharp screens were in the very first batch of PSP's. Most were demo units (probably the reason for better screens) and few made it into the hands of gamers.
Unless you have an original v1.0 PSP from the first batch, you won't get the sharp screen. |

Sony changed from Sharp to Samsung because Sharp could not keep up with the production demand. If your PSP didn't come with V1.0 (ie Japanese first batch) then it will not have a Sharp screen. All Japanese models since February have been built with Samsung panels and this also applies to every other model since then.
Luckily I imported my PSP back in January and it is a December model.
